Friends of Everton Park

Welcome to

Everton Park

Everton Park, located in Everton, Liverpool, England, is a modern park, covering over 40 hectares (0.40 km2),[1] created between 1984 and 1989, as part of a major house clearance programme, on Everton Hill between Great Homer Street and Everton Road/Heyworth Street. The park is Liverpool City Council owned.

The park features the Everton Park Nature Garden, a walled community garden with three ponds, bridges, paths, overhanging trees, a wildflower field, raised flower beds with seating, and colourful wild birds.

Everton Park is the eye over the city of Liverpool. Only a short distance from the city centre, it has unbeatable views of the city, docks, river and sea.

Friends of Everton Park About Us

The Friends of Everton Park is part of the family of Parks Friends Groups in Liverpool, which actively contribute to the improvement, management and upkeep of their local parks.

Everton Park is close to Liverpool city centre and offers amazing views over the city, the docks, the river and the sea. Though a modern park, it has lots of historical points of interest including the famous Lock-up (pictured), which is featured on the crest of Everton Football Club.

Friends of Everton Park Events

Friends of Everton Park runs an annual summer event calendar that is open to all community members.

Anyone is welcome to join the Friends of Everton Park. We are an open organisation dedicated to making the park a great place for people to enjoy. There are many opportunities to take part, from planning and organising events to history and heritage projects, to growing and greening activities and loads more.

Everton Park Heritage Trail

The Friends of Everton Park launched an historic and broad-ranging heritage trail in 2012. A decade on, it remains a fascinating circular walk for those wanting to visit what is now the green roof of Liverpool.

Our Community Garden

We have our very own community garden on Prince Edwin Street that opens Tuesdays 10am-1pm and Fridays 1pm-4pm. If you're interested in growing your own veg, growing interesting plants, woodwork or just want to come for a chat... click the button below to find out more.
